This is almost certainly
what Reich saw in both Maine and Arizona and mistook for UFOs.
The
lights he saw were probably caused by the excitation of the
preparations for nuclear tests in Nevada, and in
some cases, by the excitation of his own cloudbuster and orur. He
failed to make the connection with the similar lumination he had seen in
his VACOR tubes because he was influenced by the culture of his times,
at a time when large numbers of people, seeing the lights caused by
nuclear weapons testing, were reporting UFOs.
Some
delusional individuals, or publicity seekers with an ax to grind,
claimed to have had close personal contact with space visitors. Reich
accepted those fictional reports without any critical thinking. It
apparently never occured
to him that these people could be lying or imagining things.
Then,
based on the DOR associated with the sightings,. he went a step
farther and came to believe the UFOs were hostile and attacking eareth.
And since he could see how the cloudbuster affected them, he believed he
was fighting an interplanetary war against the invasion forces.
And
to this day, many people who are incapable of thinking for themselves
and need Reich to do their thinking for them, still belive this scenario
and include the fictional UFOs from other planets in the field of
"orgonomy· on no other evidence except that Reich said so.
